Patricia A. Thorpe was a resident of Wisconsin for most of her life until retiring from Certegy as a credit card manager in 2003. In 2006, she moved to Mesa, Arizona, where she resides today. During the summer months, she loves returning to Wisconsin to spend time with her four sons, five grandchildren, and two great-grandsons.
Her passion for storytelling began when her sons were young. Believing that reading to her children was paramount, she bought many books as learning tools — books to help them navigate their first days of school, learn their ABCs and simple math, embrace the Golden Rule, and enjoy the timeless lessons of Aesop's Fables.
Later in life, while living on Lake Kristine in northern Wisconsin for seven years, she spent countless hours looking out her dining-room window, observing the interactions between the local birds and wildlife. Cherishing the memories of reading with her sons, she was inspired to write her own children's book featuring a hummingbird she lovingly named "Harry." She hopes to create many more books to delight young readers and help them learn important life lessons.
